Liberals have been trying their best to insult Evangelicals support of President Trump. Recently, President Trump has been accused of having an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels. However, Dallas First Baptist Church Pastor Robert Jeffress defended Trump saying that even if the allegations are true, it has no effect on their support.
“Evangelicals know they’re not compromising their beliefs in order to support this great president. And let’s be clear, evangelicals still believe in the commandment ‘Thou shalt not have sex with a porn star,’” explained Jeffress during an interview with Fox News.
“Whether this president violated that commandment or not is totally irrelevant to our support of him,” Jeffress said. He went on to explain that Evangelicals are aware that Trump is not an “altar boy” but they support him for his “policies and strong leadership.”
“We are all sinners, we all need forgiveness, [and] that forgiveness is available through Christ for anyone who asks. And whether the president needs that forgiveness for this particular allegation, whether he’s asked for it, is between him, his family and his God,” said Jeffress.
He then defended his personal friendship with the “I’m his friend. I will never walk away,” he said. Check out the video below.
