African American rapper Jay Z, whose net worth is estimated to be around $900 million, went on David Letterman’s new Netflix show to discuss why all white men are privileged.
“We still gotta deal with it. We have to have the conversation– we have to have a tough conversation, we have to talk about the n-word, and we have to talk about why white men are so privileged in this country,” said Jay Z.
It’s interesting that the almost billionaire seems to think he has less privilege than a working class person just because he is black. Jay Z went on to explain that no one needs any more evidence of someone being a racist. If you are accused of being one, you must be one.
“We don’t need any more evidence, I mean, is he a racist, is he not a racist? I’m telling you–you’re having a debate over whether a guy’s a racist, chances are that guy’s a racist,” said Jay Z.
According to that logic, I can call Jay Z a racist, and if he tries to argue back, he is wrong. Doesn’t he remind you of Colin Kaepernick? The full interview comes to Netflix on Friday. You can see the preview below.
